Beneath The Badlands

Lead Animator

All models were made and rigged by other members of the team. Title and background poses were made by John Arters.

My Role as a Lead

As the lead animator for Beneath the Badlands, I started out with only 5 people on my team, with three of those being outsource. In the course of 10 weeks, a few of my fellow leads and I were able to recruit around 20 animators and riggers to be on the team! We worked on an Agile workflow where Scrum meetings were held everyday to keep up with progress. In total, I have done around 28 animations in 10 weeks for this game so far! I'm extremely proud of myself and all of my animators on this team and will showcase some of my favorite animations I did this quarter.

All animations were rigged and animated in Maya, except for the wolf. The wolf was rigged and animated in Unreal Engine 5 using control rig. Certain animations on the host didn't require leg movement since they were blended with another animation.
